This was a small, old Queeslander that we transformed to a beautifully renovated classic home which is now big enough for a family of four.
Part of this home was removed, we extended out both sides and back, adding in extra bedroom, bathrooms and a new living area!
As well as removing the part of this home, we also had to remove the old roof, with the challenge of having it line up with the new trusses with the old, plus add in January’s wet season - but we got there in the end!
The old house had a classic Queensland charm and we wanted to keep this flowing in the extension, with new VJ panelling to all new areas to match existing and the addition of new spotted gum hardware floors. The renovation also included:
2 new bathrooms with classic feature tiles and then vertical subway tiles on the top of half of the shower shelf extending up the wall
New windows and sliding doors and louver windows
New laundry with custom made cabinetry
New main bedroom
Living area
Pantry
New cladding to old and new ares of the home
New front and back stairs
New electrics and aircons
New painting
And lastly, an outdoor entertaining space (a must in Townsville) with new decking and a fly over roof creating an extra living space for the family.
